Strengthen your Tacoma's front bumper mounts with the TacoMount Reinforcer — a weld-on solution designed to fix and prevent bent or fatigued factory mounting points. The OEM mounts are made to support an aluminum crash bar and when a plate steel bumper is added or when doing heavy winch pulls these mounts can bend or fail completely. Built from 3/16" steel, these plates weld directly over the existing mounts and eliminate the need for bulky reinforcement brackets that interfere with aftermarket shock reservoir mounts.
Key Features:
-
Fits 2nd & 3rd Gen Tacoma (2005–2023)
-
Made from 3/16" plasma cut steel – durable and trail-proven
-
Weld-on design – no need to remove factory bumper mounts
-
Eliminates bulky reinforcement brackets – clears space for aftermarket shock reservoirs
-
Optional 1/2" Grade 10.9 hardware – upgrade your mounting strength (requires welding new bolts in place)
Installation:
-
Optional: Cut off the outer OEM bumper bolts if upgrading to Grade 10.9 hardware, or leave them in place if you plan to reuse the factory bolts.
-
Prep the frame surface by cleaning down to bare metal.
-
Check and straighten any bending in the factory bumper mounting plates.
-
Weld the new reinforcement plates fully, including the center vertical slots.
-
Sand smooth and paint the area to prevent rust and ensure clean bumper fitment.
Note: These are weld-on plates. Professional installation is recommended.
